A couple of months ago, a sweet friend of mine, Michelle, asked if I would do a logo for her family’s farm that they were just starting. I was honored and so excited to be commissioned to do something like this. Here’s what went into the design:
Michelle’s husband, Jeff, has just started bee keeping on their land. You can read a funny story about the beginnings of this adventure in their blog post right here.
The couple has been keeping chickens for a long time, but have added to their brood since moving out to their piece of land. You can read about that here.
The family has three (of my favorite) little girls. I knew that incorporating their names into the design would be a lovely addition, and thus the sun (Sunny), Juniper, and Marigold. I kept this a surprise until I sent them the image, and Michelle told me she cried happy tears when she saw it!

I hope to visit when we are back state-side. Seeing pictures of all their baby animals, I can’t help but wish they had moved out to the land before we left for France! I mean, a baby pig the size of a kitten?!
